This evening, we went for dinner in Chinatown.
While walking towards the coffee shop, I saw an interesting shop across the road.
All the items in the shop were red.. It sparked curiosity in me to check out the shop.
It turned out to a traditional chinese wedding shop! Ahh.. Red is considered to be an auspicious colour for chinese weddings, therefore most of the items in the shop is red in colour.
They had an impressive choice of ang bows (red envelopes for money) to choose from.. Look at that!
I love receiving ang bows more than giving them. Hehe.. 🙂
After a quick browse, I walked over to the coffee shop where everyone was waiting. Along the way, I spotted Chinese New Year decoration outside some shops.
Chinese New Year was in February; the decorations must have been there ever since. Although it’s off-season now, these decorations are left there throughout the year to welcome luck, prosperity and health.
