We went for breakfast today.
As we walked towards the hawker centre, we passed by the supermarket..
There was a signboard that said, “2 Days! Lunar New Year Countdown.”
2 more days.. It’s almost time for Chinese New Year(CNY)!
The hawker centre was less crowded too.. most of the shops there were closing for the day.
Days before Chinese New Year, the supermarkets and wet markets are the busiest. However, unlike any other days, the supermarket is not crowded.. (It feels strange not to see groups of homemakers, old folks and domestic helpers grab items off shelves.. lol). I guess most of the people have done their shopping! 🙂
Some shops have decided to close early on Saturday and go home for preparations. Reunion dinner falls on Sunday and Chinese New Year follows on Monday and Tuesday. It will a long weekend for everyone in Singapore!
Looking forward a scrumptious dinner tomorrow.
To the readers celebrating CNY, have a wonderful reunion with your family and loved ones! ❤
